Marvin Riley

Marvin has been the Director of Engine Development for INDYCAR since October 2014.  As Director of Engine Development, Marvin manages the engine manufacturer competition for the Verizon IndyCar Series and sets the engine rules regulations and performance standards followed by the manufacturers in building and racing their V6 twin turbo engines.
Before INDYCAR, Marvin spent 10 years with Honda Performance Development as an engineer and project leader working on a variety of engines spanning the IRL, ALMS, IMSA, and the INDYCAR series.  During his time with Honda, Honda engines won three Indy 500s (2005, 2012 and 2014) while competing with other manufacturers. Marvin holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management
