Doug is the new president of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, track officials confirmed Tuesday July 8 2013. Doug, former co-owner of Panther Racing, has been the chief operating officer of the Speedway in recent months and has served as director of media relations, having joined IMS in November 2010.
Boles,46, was a founding partner of Panther Racing and served as a co-owner and team chief operating officer from 1997 to 2006. Following that stint, he became executive vice president of a marketing and advertising agency, Ignition Inc., from 2006-08 before becoming a partner in the i3Worldwide marketing agency.
Doug, who is also is an attorney with a law degree from the Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis, has experience in representing drivers, sponsors and race teams.
Growing up in a racing family it was no surprise to see Andy in an open wheel car on the short tracks in the Midwest. From his driving he transitioned to mechanic in the Indycar world with Sarah Fisher Racing. From that he next became a chief mechanic and then onto Team Manager for Sarah who later became his wife.
Currently he and Sarah are owners of the Speedway Indoor Karting Center in downtown speedway, Indiana. In addition to karting they also have an outstanding restaurant the 1911 Restaurant in honor of the first race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Andy will join the Dennis Reinbold team in May as strategist on the second car is or will have announced Tuesday.
Andy and Sarah now had 2 children. Their oldest is Zoey their daughter 3 and their youngest is son Daniel James.
