IMS To Unveil Second Security Robot during Media Demo with Indianapolis 500 Winner Rossi

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will hold a special demonstration of its Sharp INTELLOS Automated Unmanned Ground Vehicle (A-UGV) security robot at 10 a.m. (ET) Tuesday, May 8 on the Yard of Bricks. During the demonstration, Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi, winner of the 100th Indianapolis 500, will unveil a second robot to join the ranks of the already introduced “Indy 5PO.” IMS President J. Douglas Boles and Hulman Motorsports Senior Director of Safety and Security Mike Bates also will participate. 

The Sharp INTELLOS A-UGV is the Official Security Robot of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and adds an extra layer of safety and security protection to The Racing Capital of the World.
