President and Chief Executive Officer
Hulman & Company

Mark Miles - CEO Hulman & Company

Mark Miles

Veteran business leader and international sports executive Mark D. Miles became chief executive officer of Hulman & Company on Dec. 17, 2012.

Mark leads the overall business direction and management of Hulman & Company, including a key role in the refinement and implementation of the company’s long-term strategic plan. Hulman & Company is comprised of Clabber Girl, Georgetown Realty, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, INDYCAR, IMS Productions and various other business entities.

In his tenure at the helm of the company, Miles has taken actions to strengthen the company’s racing and non-racing properties. In 2014, Verizon was signed as the title sponsor for the IndyCar Series and the INDYCAR Grand Prix now opens the month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The IMS Productions team added a new state-of-the art live production truck in 2014 and Clabber Girl continues as the No. 1 baking powder brand in the country.

Mark brought an impressive blend of experience from all phases of his career to Hulman & Company. In the sports world, he transformed the ATP, governing body of men’s international professional tennis, from a start-up league to an international leader. During his 15-year tenure from 1990-2005, the ATP posted impressive revenue gains, launched innovative marketing initiatives and expanded its global presence.

Miles has also successfully and profitably led two major sports entertainment events in Indianapolis: the Pan American Games in 1987 and Super Bowl XLVI in 2012, a 10-day event that attracted more than a million fans and set a new standard for the National Football League.

Prior to joining Hulman & Company, Mark led the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, Inc. (CICP), a consortium of the leading companies in Central Indiana working with premier university research institutions to strategically develop economic growth in the region. Miles currently serves on numerous civic and nonprofit boards.

Earlier in his career, Miles was executive director of corporate relations for Eli Lilly and Company, responsible for the company’s local, state and national government affairs, communications and foundation.

Mark is a graduate of Wabash College and a member of its athletic hall of fame. Miles and his wife, Helen, live in Indianapolis and have four adult children.
