Kate is the National Senior Outreach at IndyCar. She is a graduate of University of Texas with her BS degree in Arts, English and Communication Studies. She then get her Masters form IUPUI in Sports Journalism. She has been with IndyCar for 7 1/2 half years.
Kate will be my first guest this evening.
In over seven years working with the IndyCar Series, the top open-wheel racing series in North America,she has developed relationships with endemic and non-endemic media where the series races or holds media events. These cities included some of the largest media markets in North America, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Toronto and Atlanta, among many others.

Kate has experience writing press releases, editorial content and media information materials; planning and executing media events; playing key roles in a crisis communications plan; staff management and was also the sole operator of the series’ social media channels for over two years. During that time she increased its Facebook and Twitter audiences by nearly 200% on each channel. Kate is regularly trusted by the executive team and my direct supervisor to represent the series as the moderator of series press conferences and deliver corporate statements to media during series announcements or crisis situations.
