A baker’s dozen IndyCar drivers were on track yesterday – a trio rookies at Iowa and 10 led by Herta at Mid-Ohio (includes unofficial Mid-O timesheet)

A total of 13 cars took part in NTT IndyCar Series testing yesterday. Ten drivers took on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and a trio of rookies tested at Iowa Speedway.

Felix Rosenqvist (Chip Ganassi Racing), Santino Ferrucci (Dale Coyne Racing) and Marcus Ericsson (Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) all got their first taste of a short oval in an Indy car.

In Lexington, Ohio, it was Harding Steinbrenner Racing rookie Colton Herta that topped the overall and afternoon timesheet, finishing with a lap just a little quicker than Team Penske veteran Will Power, who was the fastest in the morning.

Ryan Norman, an Andretti Autosport Indy Lights veteran got behind the wheel of an NTT IndyCar Series car for the first time, completing 76 laps and turning in lap time within one-second of Herta’s quick lap.

Below are the extremely unofficial times. We don’t know what teams or drivers were working on, so put what stock you want to into these times. (Steve’s thought – they aren’t meaningless, but that meaning is highly superficial)
