Warminster, PA – The National Racing Network and Classic Racing Times announced today the agreement on a live streaming package for the Vintage Celebration events at Pocono Raceway. The Vintage Celebration is the largest event of it’s kind in the United States, and sees cars running on the 2.5 mile oval layout, the infield road course, plus a purpose built 1/5 mile oval layout near pit exit fo the big track. There is also a Sun & Shine Car Show held in conjunction with the events for the NTT IndyCar Series.
All of the events from the exciting 1/5 mile oval will be streamed live on NRN, with coverage having a distinct throwback feel. “I think the trailer video released today gives fans a hint of what’s coming in a couple of weeks,” said NRN Executive Producer Chris Graham. “Think the look and feel of the Wide World of Sports broadcasts, when the cars were tough, and the drivers were heroes,” Graham added.
Broadcasts will happen on Thursday night, August 15, for practice featuring all five divisions in action. Friday night, August 16, will have the Champ Karts, Vintage Midgets, Vintage TQ’s, and Modern TQ’s. Saturday night, August 17, will have the same headliners, with the Microstocks replacing the Champ Karts on the bill.
Graham reminded fans to keep an eye on the NRN Facebook page for more previews over the coming weeks leading up to the big weekend.
