Pocono hosting a number of eents for the ABC Supply 500 weekend…

LONG POND, Pa. (August 14, 2018) – Pocono Raceway will host several fan-driven events as part of their ABC Supply 500 race weekend this Saturday, August 18. Events will include the “Josef Newgarden Selfie Session,” “Fast Cars Fast Girls” and “Off Track with Hinch & Rossi” live podcast recordings and American Three Quarter Midget Racing Association (ATQMRA) night racing.

All the Saturday evening events are free for kids ages 12 and under, free for ABC Supply 500 race weekend camping guests, complimentary for those with a Saturday Gate Ticket holders or $20, per person, for those who do not have a Saturday Gate Admission Ticket. Campers can enter the Paddock starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. Saturday Gate Admission Ticket Holders can show their ticket for access at the Gate 1 Tunnel, located off Long Pond Road. Those ticket holders, along with guests paying the admission fee, can access the infield starting at 6:00 p.m. ET and will be directed to park once inside. For Saturday Gate Admission Ticket Holders who may not want to drive to the Gate 1 Tunnel, a Paddock Pass will be required to use the Pedestrian Tunnel to cross under the track from the Grandstand to the Paddock.

The Selfie Session featuring Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden will take place behind Victory Lane. The reigning Verizon IndyCar Series champion will take selfies with fans, in place of the standard autograph session. Interested guests pre-registered for this event, which sold out in under 20 hours.

The live podcast recordings will take place at Club Pocono, the seating area located behind Pit Road in the Pocono Raceway Paddock. Access to Club Pocono for all guests will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET. The “Fast Cars Fast Girls” podcast will begin at 6:45 p.m. ET and the “Off Track with Hinch & Rossi” podcast will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET. Both podcasts will have special guests and will be complimented by members of the PAIN Tour. The evening will also feature the first race held under the lights at Pocono Raceway during a major NASCAR or INDYCAR race weekend. The ATQMRA races will take place on a one-fifth mile track located at the end of pit road, on the frontstretch and before Turn 1. Fans are invited to attend some great night racing at ‘The Tricky Triangle’ on behalf of the Vintage Indy Car Celebration presented by The Classic Racing Times. Guests attending can access this by visiting Gate 21, located behind the support garages along Bertil Roos Road. Additionally, sections 201 and 202 of the Grandstand will be open to Saturday Gate Admission Ticket holders, which includes camping guests, to watch the ATQMRA races.

Prior to these evening events, Saturday’s activities will include Verizon IndyCar Series practice session and qualifying, Vintage Indy Car Celebration exhibition runs, a vintage car show in the Paddock and autographs sessions with Bobby Rahal, Dick Vermeil and more behind Victory Lane.
