Phillip B. Wilson

Known in the sports journalists world as Phil B he has been writing about sports in Indianapolis for more than 20 years.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University in 1988 with a degree in Journalism. His first Journalists job in Indy was at the Indianapolis Star where he was a sports writer from 1994-2014. During that time Phil B covered the Colts, Super Bowls, NCAA final Fours and the Indianapolis 500.

In 2014 he moved on to write for the Sports Media Network. He was a sports write there until 2016. On May 15 Phil B began writing for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well as writing  for the Verizon IndyCar Series on www.indycar.com.

  Jason Penix

Jason has a Bachelors of Science Degree from IU in 2006. He began an internship with the Indy Racing League in 2005-2006.

His move up took him to Coordinator of Marketing Outreach from 2007-2009.  In 2009 -2012 he was the Manager of Grassroots Marketing. From 2012-2013 Jason was the Director of Grassroots Initiative for the IndyCar Series.

Beginning in 2013 to the present with the move to the ladder program with the Mazda Road to Indy under the leadership of Dan Anderson Promotions Jason became Director of Development for the Series and the Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires.
